The Drug & Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA) was established in 1984 as an incorporated health centre under the South Australian Health Commission Act 1976 and is now governed by the Board of the Southern Adelaide Health Service. The organisation is the statewide government authority responsible for matters pertaining to alcohol and other drug issues. DASC’s mission is to develop and deliver best practice in: preventing the uptake of harmful drug use; reducing the harmful effects of licit and illicit drugs; and offering pathways out of harmful drug use.
Mental Health website for Young People. This site has a number of different sections, e.g. a "cubby house" for 6 - 12 year olds and the "the lounge" for 12 - 18 year olds. The lounge has information and ideas about positive mental health. The information is written by young people so it is easily understood. You can find out "what positive mental health is", "what issues and situations affect your mental health" and "how you can look after your mental health".
Headroom (formerly known as Partnership with Young People Project) (PYPP) is a South Australian mental health promotion project managed by the Division of Mental Health, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide.
