As a follow up from the hospital, all day surgery clients will receive a phone call from the day surgery staff the day following the surgery.

Day surgery clients will receive printed information in relation to their surgery and follow up appointments on discharge.

Clients requiring admission to the hospital following surgery will be transferred to West Wing post operatively and stay for the required amount of time dependant on the type of surgery. The specialist surgeons will be able to give the clients an approximate length of stay when they are booking the surgery. Clients are encouraged to discuss their length of stay with the surgeons pre-operatively.Nursing staff will liaise with the clients and give any relevant post-operative information to them to assist with post operative care while in the hospital.
