The Service Addresses the Following:

Individual counselling for people with special dietary needs, e.g. food intolerance, diabetes, coeliac disease.

Group education and information sessions. - Healthy Living Eat Well Program

Working with community groups such as schools to address nutrition related issues.

Participating in community projects such as Eat Well Be Active.

Group Education Sessions Available Include:

Supermarket tours - find out about suitable products for healthy eating, diabetes, and heart disease.

The Healthy Living - Eating Well program provides nutrition information regarding health problems such as overweight, pre diabetes and cholesterol issues. The program is offered regularly as 2, 3 hour sessions or 3, 2 hour sessions. The program is generaly taking the place of 1:1 appointments for these issues.

Community Participation and Liaison: We can provide information, advice, ideas or resources to community groups and other organisations.
Individual Consultations: Please contact the MMCHS regarding invdividual appointments. The Dieticians also participate in regular Diabetes Review Clinics throughout the region. A doctor's referral is not needed but is preferred where a medical condition exists.
Who Provides the Service?
The Dieticians are: Fran McFaul (full-time) and Daniela Pasquini (2 days per week)
