The diabetes service undertakes activities which aim to improve the understanding and awareness of diabetes in the communities of Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend.

Diabetes activities at Murray Mallee Community Health Service include:

  • Support services for people who are newly diagnosed and ongoing care.
  • Support services for people with Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes and their families.
  • Support services for Insulin initiation
  • Education and information for Community Groups, Individuals and Groups, including schools and workplace.
  • Education and information for Blood glucose meter checks.
  • Heart Foundation Walking.
